Meet the Maker

I’ve always been drawn to create with my hands, to tell stories, and to connect to others with art. In 2017 I made my first loom from a wooden picture frame and furniture nails and began weaving.

While nature is my biggest inspiration and the focus of most of my woven work, I’m inspired by so many things and I like to make what brings me joy, and hope it does the same for you.

As a queer artist and settler on unceded Lekwungen land (“Victoria” B.C.), I am proud to donate 5% of my sales to organizations that fight for and support marginalized communities, as well as organizations that protect the environment and species at risk.

When I’m not practicing my art, I like to spend time with my partner and friends, eating like a hobbit, and exploring the world through travel and books.

The practice of making art has always been a way for me to connect with others, to maintain my mental health, and to bring joy to others. I hope you find beauty in value in what I create.

Donation proceeds from sale of my work goes to several organizations, including the following:

  • Tegan and Sara Foundation, an organization which fights for health, economic justice and representation for LGBTQ girls and women (read more at https://www.teganandsarafoundation.org/about-tsf)

  • Georgia Straight Alliance, an organization that works toward the protection and recovery of species at risk in BC coastal waters (read more at https://georgiastrait.org)

  • Indian Residential School Survivor Society, an organization which provides essential services to Residential School Survivors, their families, and those dealing with Intergenerational traumas and aims to maximize access to culturally sensitive, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual care (read more at https://www.irsss.ca)

  • Black Youth Helpline, an organization that supports young back Canadians through primary prevention of social, psychological breakdown in communities through a focus on education, health, and community development (read more at https://blackyouth.ca)

Stay in the loop.
